  Welcome to Gospel Light Academy! GLBA is a ministry of Gospel Light Baptist Church, located in Helena, Alabama. We welcome you to use this website as a tool in your search for high quality, early childhood education, and to see what makes GLBA unique. Even better, visit our facilities and see firsthand what we are doing to offer the best for your children.

  Our focus is to develop children academically, physically, socially/emotionally, and most important spiritually. We offer childcare for two and three year old children in our preschool, and kindergarten for four and five year olds and now we are offering elementary education for the first and second grades. These are very important years in a child’s life, during which most of a child’s basic beliefs, attitudes, and life principles are beginning to be formed. No school can take the place of the home. Our goal is to partner with parents in these areas.

  We have chosen A Beka Book for our curriculum. I have seen many curriculums over the years, and I believe that A Beka is the best. Kindergarteners will learn to read. Your child will be taught Biblical truth, Christian values, and the kind of patriotism that makes America great! Prayer and Bible instruction are an everyday classroom experience. The school year will end with a special graduation program. Our instruction will include art, music, physical education, chapel, self-discipline, respect, and many other positive character traits. Our staff of highly qualified and dedicated teachers will take your child to a higher level of excellence than you may imagine.
